In Memorial
Sheila N. HerrickJuly 29, 1960 to March 24, 2005 How do you describe someone like Sheila? Like a jewel, she had many facets, her many aspects reflected her love for life. The many facets of her yield amazing dichotomies of her character. She embodied the saying, a stranger is just a friend not yet met. Once someone met her, she never was forgotten or forgot them. Its just the way she was. Generous to a fault, she would literally give you the shirt off her back. There wasn't a mean bone in her body, and her heart was larger than that. Caring was another virtue of hers in all that she did. If you interacted with her over time, you knew her style and outlook were unique. That infectious laugh, the marvelous silliness that she could invoke, was the flip side to her temper. She could also argue a blue-streak. Loyal as the day is long. That twinkle in her eye, gave way to the mischievousness of her character, seemed to contradict the serious student that thirsted for knowledge and understanding. And these few things merely scratch the surface of my dear Sheila. Sheila, you will be sorely missed. You touched our hearts, you made us laugh and you brightened our spirits. We love you, we will miss you. Until we meet again dear Sheila. |
