Jennifer Hunter
Jennifer Hunter began practicing Wicca on her own at age 16, before being a teen Witch was cool. She founded the State University of New York at New Paltz’s first Pagan student organization, which exists to this day. She spent a couple of years in a coven, and was initiated first-degree Protean-Gardnerian, but ultimately has followed a self-crafted path. She earned a BA in English from Montclair State University, which is worth precisely nothing, but allows her to join the ranks of noteworthy English majors like Garrison Keillor and Christine Lavin. She wrote her first book, 21st Century Wicca: A Young Witch’s Guide to Living a Magical Life, at age 25. Born without the shame gene, Jen has a playful and enthusiastic love of sexuality—her own and other people’s—and dreams of becoming a sex therapist someday. This passion led to her next two books, Wicca for Lovers: Spells and Rituals for Romance and Seduction (2001) and Rites of Pleasure: Sexuality in Wicca and NeoPaganism (2004). The child of agnostic, secular Jews, Jen developed an interest in Judaism when she married her now ex-husband, who had been raised Orthodox. Hence, Magickal Judaism: Connecting Jewish and Pagan Practice (July 2006). Today, she’s grateful for her belated Jewish education, but religiously she remains a Pagan and Witch. Of all the Gods, Jen is most drawn to Cernunnos/Herne, and idenfies as his lover and priestess. She is self-employed as a writer and editor, and lives in the Boston area with her five-year-old daughter.
Her Website is located as http://www.jenniferhunter.com/

The Magocracy:
The Magocracy in a non-denominational school of science-based magicks and philosophies whose mission is the rigorous training of technomages through a series of three year programs which include testing, workshops and peer reviewed thesis works. The members of The Magocracy are selected through a series of interviews and must also show certain prerequisites in order to enter the school. Students who have been enrolled are taught a wide variety of magick pathways by fully trained and qualified Teaching Magi under the guidance of the Tzaddi (or founder). Members are expected to choose a major in science based magicks with a minor in any spiritual or traditional path they wish. The Magocracy prides itself on its methodologies which include homework assigned between monthly Meetings, workshops and direct training under the guidance of qualified teachers, testing, term papers and thesis projects. It is the guiding vision of The Magocracy to help the pagan community at large by serving as a specialized school of knowledge that is open to all paths and does not require binding and exclusive oaths for it's membership, thus permitting members from various churches or covens to join and learn for the greater good of their "home" spiritual organization. The Magocracy is not a coven, church nor a secret society, it is a school for greater knowledge and scientific understanding in magick of all forms.
