Illicit Drug Use Policy

Illicit drug use is not permitted at Harvest Gathering. Anyone caught using illegal drugs will be asked to leave the camp immediately.

Connecticut State Law prohibits the following activities:

1. Consumption or possession of alcoholic beverages by any person below the age of 21
2. The distribution of alcohol to anyone below the age of 21.

Anyone in violation of CT State Law will be asked to leave immediately. Those who are legal drinking age, we ask that you drink and behave responsibly.

 

Smoking Policy

Smoking is not allowed in any of the buildings, tents or in front of the Dining Hall. Smoking areas will be made available including cans to dispose butts. There must be no evidence of tobacco use anywhere on the camp. Please be considerate of this policy.

 

Skyclad

This event is clothing optional in designated areas. Please use discretion.

 

Children

Children are the responsibility of their parents/guardians and must be supervised at all times. We do not offer a babysitting service or children’s activities.

 

Media and Photography

Harvest Gathering is a private event. Media coverage is not permitted unless there is prior authorization from the event coordinators. Photography is permitted only with the permission of all those being photographed.

 

Parking

Upon your arrival to the camp, you will need to go to the Dining Hall in order to register. This is where you’ll receive your program booklet. You will then be asked to sign up for a work-shift, after which time you will receive a wristband for identification purposes and lodging assignment. Our registration staff will also ask you to sign a "Waiver of Liability" form. We will also be recording your vehicle information and you’ll be given a parking permit. When this process is completed, you will be able to drive near your cabin to unload (Please note, you will not be able to drive your car right next to the cabins. You will be able to park near the cabins to unload your belongings). Once your vehicle has been unloaded, we ask that you move your car to the parking field. You must then place your parking permit on the dashboard of your car so that it is visible.

 

If you are tenting in the field, please note that once you have unloaded, your car must be moved to the parking field. Due to the fact that our parking area will be tightly filled with cars, we ask that you remain on the campsite the entire weekend. If you need to leave early, please let us know in advance.

 

There are no generators allowed at the 4H Camp and there is no electricity available outdoors. Please pack accordingly.  We have limited space available for RV's but this is first come/first serve.  You must indicate on your registration form if you are planning to bring an RV.  Please note, late registrations cannot be guaranteed an RV space.

 

Refund Policy

If you must cancel your registration, Harvest Gathering will refund the cost of the event minus $25.00 filing fee up to August 20th. After August 20th no refund will be issued.
